Coming to the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre in March 2024, Film Concerts Live! presents Casino Royale in Concert, the first instalment in the new James Bond Concert Series.

For the first time ever, audiences will be able to experience Bond on the big screen accompanied by the power of a full symphony orchestra. Brisbane’s own Queensland Symphony Orchestra will perform composer David Arnold’s epic musical score to this action-spy blockbuster live and in sync to the picture.

This action-packed blockbuster, complete with the force and energy of a live orchestra is an experience not to be missed. From the moment the iconic James Bond Theme begins, prepare to be transported into the world of the Secret Intelligence Service (aka MI6) for Casino Royale in Concert.

Directed by Martin Campbell, Casino Royale brings us Bond at the start of his career, having just earned 00 status by assassinating the traitorous Dryden and his contact as the British Embassy in Prague.  Bond’s first mission will see him pitted against the ruthless terrorist financier known as Le Chiffre, played by Mads Mikkelsen (Hannibal, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore).

From the jungles of Madagascar to the white sand beaches of the Bahamas, Bond’s pursuit of Le Chiffre takes Bond (and the audience) deep into danger. Along the way, Bond meets the beautiful British Treasury agent Vesper Lynd (Eva Green), assigned to keep a watchful eye on 007 as he risks it all to bring down Le Chiffre.

The final showdown of the film finds Bond at a high-stakes poker game at the luxurious Casino Royale in Montenegro, and ultimately to a jaw-dropping finale on the Grand Canal in Venice.

Starring Giancarlo Giannini as René Mathis, Bond’s mysterious MI6 contact in Montenegro, and Dame Judi Dench returns as Chief of MI6, codename: M.

The wildly successful reboot of the Bond franchise with Casino Royale, released in 2006, blew audiences away and became the highest grossing film in the series’ history. Marking the debut of the effortlessly charming and handsome Daniel Craig as the legendary MI6 operative, Craig cemented his name in James Bond history. Winning over fans and critics alike, Craig went on the fulfill missions in four more films as the famous agent.

Aim those crosshairs at 7.30pm on March 15 for this live concert spectacular. Buy-in to the table before you miss out and grab your tickets to Casino Royale in Concert.
