The 35-year-old man was arrested at his home on Friday and charged with eleven counts of child sex abuse in relation to incidents between 2014 and 2019.

The man allegedly sexually assaulted a number of teenage boys when he was a secondary school teacher and sports facilitator in Toowong, Mount Tamborine, Pullenvale, Darra and Dakabin.

He’s also accused of assaulting some of the boys when he was youth group leader on overseas trips to New Zealand and Africa.

The man has been charged with three counts each of sexual activity by a person in a position of trust and authority outside of Australia, three counts of sexual assault and five counts of indecent treatment.

He appeared in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Saturday and was remanded in custody to reappear on January 20.

Detectives say their investigation into the man’s alleged child sex abuse has not been closed, and they have appealed for anyone with information to come forward, including anyone who wants to make a complaint to police in relation to sexual violence.
