He later posted a video pointing to news coverage of the police cars being damaged by several men during the event.

The Queensland Police Service (QPS) said in a statement officers responded to an out-of-control event on Bourke Street, Waterford around 2pm, Saturday.

“Approximately 350 people attended the area, with some vehicles committing traffic related offences and driving in a dangerous manner.

“Multiple crews attended the location and declared an out-of-control event and blocked off the street.,’’ the statement said.

Three police cars were damaged as a result of the event.

The QPS said the officers in the cars were not physically injured.

Police said from officers surrounding districts and specialist police had the event under control around 4pm.

The arrests follow a public appeal from police and investigators releasing images and footage of several men they wanted to speak to about the incident.
