More than 40 people have been charged after a drug syndicate was discovered in the South Burnett region north of Brisbane, police said.

Overall there have been almost 400 charges from Operation Victor Duty, in which detectives partnered with local police across the Nanango, Kingaroy, Yarraman, Murgon and Cherbourg areas over three months.

Police said a total of $999,144 worth of drugs was seized in various raids during the operation.

A 26-year-old woman has been charged with 105 counts of supplying dangerous drugs.

She has been accused of supplying ice to 32 people in exchange for $30,000 over a five-month period.

She was remanded in custody and is expected to appear at a Kingaroy court on January 15.

“Regional Detectives worked with specialist police units and have put a significant dent in the drug trade in the South Burnett,” Detective Inspector Paula Smithard said.

Meanwhile, a four-day traffic operation across Ipswich west of Brisbane has resulted in 165 infringement notices and 33 motorists being charged with drug driving offences.

Six motorists were charged with drink driving offences, police said, including a 36-year-old man who had a blood alcohol content of 0.170 per cent – more than three times the legal limit.

He is due to appear in an Ipswich court on November 23.

Police said vehicle defects and unregistered vehicles made up the majority of the traffic infringements.

However, an 18-year-old man was charged for high end speeding after allegedly being clocked at 124km/h in a 70km zone.

Police said the four-day operation also intercepted an overloaded moped scooter in which a 35-year-old male passenger was wearing a hard hat instead of a helmet.
