What are all the top women’s players doing at this year’s Wimbledon? Having babies, of course
Naomi Osaka has given birth to a baby girl – just nine days after her fellow tennis great, Australian Ash Barty, also announced the arrival of her new son Hayden.

Osaka posted a picture on Instagram on Thursday of her daughter’s feet wrapped in a tennis-themed onesie.
“Well, that was a cool little intermission, now back to your regularly scheduled program,” she wrote on the social media platform.
In January, Osaka and her boyfriend Cordae, a rapper from the United States, made the four-time grand slam winner’s pregnancy public. In June, Osaka announced they were expecting a daughter.
People magazine had already reported the news on Tuesday, citing an anonymous source. The following day, the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) also wrote on its website that Osaka had given birth to a baby girl in Los Angeles.
The Japanese star has not played in a WTA tournament since withdrawing from a tournament in Tokyo last September. However, she plans to be ready to return to action at the Australian Open next year.
