The 39-year-old man fell from the balcony of a disused building in the Townsville CBD about 12.45am on June 9.

Police said the Kelso man had been stabbed before the fall. He was taken to Townsville University Hospital, where he died on Thursday.

Charges of wounding and grievous bodily harm against a 51-year-old Kelso woman are expected to be upgraded after the man’s death.

Police have appealed for anyone with information or relevant CCTV or dashcam footage to contact investigators.
