The trio includes an 18-year-old woman and two men aged 21 and 29 respectively, all of whom are expected to front the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday.

The alleged crime spree began a week ago on Sunday, January 15, when a burger joint in the Ipswich suburb of Springfield was hit and cash was stolen.

On the following night, police believe the same group held up three more fast food restaurants in Rocklea, Salisbury and Algester.

The incidents allegedly saw multiple employees threatened by the group and prompted police to increase patrols in Brisbane’s south.

Simultaneous search warrants were carried out at two addresses in Ellen Grove and Inala yesterday, and the trio were taken into custody without incident.

They’re collectively facing more than 80 charges including armed robbery and deprivation of liberty.

“Dozens of detectives have worked around the clock to bring this matter before the courts and their thoughts remain with the young victims who continue to be offered support,” Detective Superintendent Massingham said.
