RBC Capital Markets said the loss from Evolution’s EBITDA from the shutdown could be $60 million.
Several other mines, including Century, have also been impacted and closed by the weather event.
Evolution said that staff were evacuated last week because flooding had started entering the mine workings.
It had been able to re-enter the mine and were able to assess the impact.
“Mining activities are expected to restart in approximately six weeks, based on current planning and underground inspections,” Evolution said.
“Works will be undertaken to restore mine production safely and as soon as possible.
“At the same time, surface maintenance plans originally scheduled for the June quarter will be brought forward.”
Austral Resources said it had restarted mining and drill and blast activities on Saturday at its operations near Mt Isa after flooding had also shut it down.
It said there may be a minor impact on production in the short term from the floods, but said no copper had been lost.
