Exec appointments: Tritium brings in sales leadership

Tritium picks up chief sales exec

David Nicholl will be taking up his role as chief sales officer for Tritium, the Brisbane-based fast charging company.

Nicholl had been on leave after finishing with ABB earlier this year.

His role will mean he will global marketing and sales for the Americas, Europe and APAC.

Nicholl was appointed in April along with Keith Hutchison as chief people officer and Michael Collins as general counsel.

ALS adds to the board

Peter Possemiers has been appointed as an independent director of ALS.

He has 40 years of experience in the industry with senior roles globally.

He has a degree in microbiology and chemistry from the University of South Australia.

Wilsons taps banker

Wilsons Advisory continued to grow its natural resources capability.

Senior banker Craig Brown has been recruited to run the team, which would cover both renewable and non-renewable energy.

Wilsons said Brown had a rare combination of sell-side analysis, buy-side investing and in-house deal-making experience across the spectrum of IPOs, secondaries, M&A and divestments.

The company said the appointment would build on its track record as joint lead manager for the IPOs of Whitehaven Coal, Queensland Gas Company, Malabar Coal, Excel Coal and Renascor Resources.

West suits up for Impedimed

Jan West has been appointed as an independent director on the board of Brisbane-based medical software company Impedimed.

West is a partner at Deloittes and has recently been on the board of Australia Post, the Australian Red Cross, Dairy Australia and Neurosciences Victoria.

Chair Don Williams said West would bring 30 years of experience as a director. He said she had had deep financial, governance and risk management expertise.

West’s appointment coincides with the decision of Judith Downes not to stand for re-election at the AGM after five years on the board.

FCM gets sustainability lead

FCM Consulting has appointed Glenn Thorsen as sustainability lead.

The company said the appointment of Thorsen to lead a new dedicated customer-facing practice specialising in sustainability represented the first significant structural change made by consultancy head Jo Lloyd.

Thorsen will support FCM’s internal efforts in this key area, collaborating with Global Sustainability Officer Michelle Degenhardt as she further develops and oversees the execution of strategies to deliver on the organisation’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) objectives.

The Denmark-based Thorsen begins in early September.

Big changes at Red River

Thalanga mine operators Red River have announced two directors, chair Brett Fletcher and Ian Smith had resigned.

Mark Hanlon would assume the chair role, effective immediately.

Patrick O’Connor would become executive director and assume chief executive roles from September 5 when the current managing Mel Palancian transitions to a non executive director role.

Graduate moves into venture capital

Sprint Ventures has welcomed Nicholas Gill as an investment analyst.

The venture capital company said Gill was a 2020 graduate from UQ and had been accepted into Westpac’s 2021 business graduate program.

NIOA finds Kiwi boss

Munitions company Nioa has appointed Fraser Winskill as general manager of its New Zealand operations. He had been the regional business manager in NSW since May 2021.

He will take over from Gray Powell on November 1.

Powell will be retained by the company as an advisor to ensure a smooth handover.

Winkskill is an 18-year veteran of the New Zealand Army.

Modnpods picks Shaw

Gold Coast modular home builder Modnpods has appointed Lisa Shaw as its chief financial officer.

The company said Shaw had 15 years of experience in financial management and leadership.

She had previously worked in Singapore as a portfolio investment manager and was also a financial specialist for a major IT outsourcing agreement.
