Nobby Beach is set to score a chic two-level Euro-inspired restaurant and bar called JUJU
Here to answer the post-dinner question ‘where should we go next’ is JUJU – a new kind of hospitality experience that is set to spring to life in Nobby Beach next month. JUJU is a sophisticated, dual-level 400-seat venue designed to blur the lines between fine dining and a Euro-inspired after-party. Located in the iconic space once occupied by Hellenika and, more recently, Loki and Rubi Red, JUJU is set to become the go-to destination for those craving something a little more than just dinner. Here’s what we know so far …

The team behind JUJU, Gold Coasters Trent Redman and Cody Beck from Luna Group, are no strangers to creating exceptional dining experiences. With a track record of success in Brisbane (Kenjin, Su Casa Nightclub and Rooftop and Kommunity), they’re bringing their first venture to the Gold Coast, promising to elevate Nobby Beach’s hospitality scene.
The venue is set to feature a sleek, modern Australian restaurant on the ground floor, offering an upscale menu with highlights such as steak, fresh fish, sashimi and even a special Tomahawk steak named after the city’s mayor, Tom Tate.
But here’s the twist – when your meal is done, the night is far from over. Head up the stairway to heaven (or hell, depending on how you choose to read it) to the rooftop bar, where an open-air space with a retractable roof awaits.
Here you can linger a little longer, with crafted cocktails and a tequila cart, and let the Euro-vibes carry you into the night. Featuring a dynamic DJ-saxophonist duo, JUJU’s rooftop transforms into a spontaneous party, with just a hint of revellery.
“When the bill arrives, [it] doesn’t mean the night needs to end,” Trent says. “With lunch offerings, early and late dinner seatings, enjoy JUJU the way you want!”
With a proven track record of creating atmospheric venues, Trent says the inspiration for JUJU was a combination of European ‘vibes’ meets Catch NYC. “I walked in and rang Cody and said, ‘Mate, this is the one – ticks all the boxes for what we want to do, beautiful restaurant, huge kitchen, the separation with the rooftop, retractable roof, function rooms, it has every element that we could possibly want to suit the direction we wanted to achieve.”
The dining offering is set to be unlike anything else on the Gold Coast, Cody says. “We’re really going for a vibe dining experience, which we feel like no one’s really doing on the Gold Coast. Upstairs, after 9:00 pm or 10:00 pm, you’d be forgiven if you thought you’re in Mykonos or Mexico with the type of vibe we’re going to be bringing.”
