Museum of Brisbane New Light: Photography Now + Then opening event

Museum of Brisbane in City Hall sparked a frenzy of interest in their new exhibition: New Light: Photography Now + Then with a Thursday evening launch packed with some of the city’s brightest artists who have created a dazzling contemporary response to the historical Alfred Elliott photos taken of Brisbane events, landmarks and people from the late 1800’s to early 1900’s timeframe. Over 100 guests from the Corporate, Arts and Design sectors enjoyed a preview of the works over cocktails ahead of this weekend’s opening to the general public. The New Light exhibition runs until July 2025.
