New beginnings – Palazzo Versace transforms into the Imperial Hotel

From Tuesday, iconic Gold Coast accommodation spot Palazzo Versace will be known as the Imperial Hotel. The luxe five-star resort is embarking on a new chapter, with a host of exciting changes being unveiled. Keep reading to learn about the big shake-up …

Palazzo Versace, which hosted celebrities like Paris Hilton, Rod Stewart, Snoop Dogg and Bono over the years, is no more. In its place is the Imperial Hotel – an exciting new entrant on the Gold Coast accommodation scene. While plenty of change is planned for Imperial Hotel, the venue’s iconic exterior and Imperial Suites will remain unchanged throughout the rebranding. Also staying is the antique chandelier that greets guests upon their arrival, while the lobby’s rich furnishings and bespoke tableware will also remain. The hotel’s 200 rooms, however, will undergo some refurbishment to reflect the new beginnings.

Imperial Hotel general manager Richard Clarke says the iconic property will continue to offer guests exceptional service and delectable cuisine. “The Imperial Hotel will retain the essence of Palazzo Versace’s grand legacy, and will continue to offer the highest standard of luxury and impeccable service, to ensure an unforgettable stay for our guests,” says Richard. The hotel’s renowned dining destinations (VanitasLe Jardin and Il Barocco Restaurant) will be introducing new menus in the coming weeks.
